Who is Eligible for Senior Care Options in Massachusetts?

SCO is available to individuals aged 65 and older who meet certain eligibility criteria, including residing in their home or a long-term care facility and not being diagnosed with end-stage renal disease. Enrollment is voluntary, and eligible members can enroll at any time of the year.

How to Enroll in Senior Care Options in Massachusetts

Enrolling in SCO is easy! Simply choose one of the five participating senior care organizations and contact MassHealth customer service or the individual plans for more information and to request enrollment. The five available plans are:

  5. UnitedHealthCare

Once enrolled, you will work with your chosen senior care organization to complete the enrollment process and select a primary care provider from their network. The organization will then process your enrollment with MassHealth and, if applicable, with Medicare.
